About Paris
Come see for yourself what makes Paris the romantic “City of Light!”
Paris, the capital of France in the heart of Europe, is one of the most beautiful
cities in the world. The grand Parisian landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame,
the Arc de Triomphe and the magnificent Louvre, home to Leonardo da Vinci's Mona
Lisa, are some of its most popular attractions. The "City of Light" offers visitors
a wealth of things to see: stunning architecture, monuments, landmarks, attractive
parks, cafés and countless museums that include Georges Pompidou Centre, Musée d'Orsay
and the Picasso Museum. The center of Paris is just 30 minutes away from Charles
de Gaulle Airport via the regular bus service to Opéra or by TGV train to Châtelet.
The city métro is easily navigable and is an ideal means of getting around to see
the sights.
On par with the Tour de France in the French sporting world is the Stade de France,
a multifunctional, Olympic-sized stadium seating up to 105,000 people-located just
20 minutes from the Hyatt Regency Paris-Charles de Gaulle hotel. Since hosting the
French '98 Soccer World Cup Final, significant soccer, rugby and athletic events
have been held there. In addition, the Paris International Golf Club is located
20 minutes from the hotel.
